Another thing I get asked quite often is what to expect during your Reiki session and how will the Reiki session work?
By the way if you missed the previous posts in this series, click here.
First, we would spend a few minutes discussing what your intention is, anything I need to be aware about, and what to expect. If you're watching this video series, you've already come prepared for that.
During the session, you would lie down on a massage table. Your session can also be given in a chair, but most of the time, for most people, we do this on a table.
I will use specific hand positions and either gently touch or hover over particular areas of your body. Unless we're working on something targeted, very specific, we will do a full body session where I may start from your head and work all the way down to your feet. Depending on what comes up during the session, I may focus on areas you need more work, where in your body needs a little bit more recharge. I let Reiki guide me.
Your only job is to relax. Most people just fall asleep in a session because they become so relaxed. When your session is complete, I'll let you know by lightly touching your hand and shoulder particularly because most of the time, you'll be in such a deep state of relaxation and you won't even know that the session is finished. So I'll lightly and gently guide you out of the session.
Let me know what else you would find useful to know during your Reiki session.
