Factors to Consider When Choosing Your Reiki Training (#11)

Personal or Professional Use of Reiki

People choose Reiki training for many reasons. Most come with an initial intent for self-healing and spiritual growth. I was recently asked, ‘do I have to practice Reiki on others (as a business) after training, or can this just be for myself and my partner?”.

First and foremost, this training is an energetic experience and a healing journey for you, with the added benefit that you’ll be able to serve others should you choose to. This doesn’t mean that you must practice Reiki for a living because you can incorporate Reiki into any aspect of your life, regardless of what you do for a living. You’ll hear me say often that the only limitation Reiki has is your imagination.

If you choose to offer your Reiki services professionally after training, I recommend enquiring about any regulations for practicing where you live.
