Factors to Consider When Choosing Your Reiki Training (#10)

Preparing for Reiki Training

Most want to know if there is any reading that should be done to prepare for their upcoming training.

Particularly for Levels 1 & 2, I advise my students this is their choice (not required). If you decide to ‘read up’ before training just to be mindful about what you do read and come with an open mind.

If you have never had a Reiki session, I recommend experiencing one prior to training.

A week prior to training, I make the following suggestions:

·        It’s best to avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol a week before your class, and a vegetarian diet is useful, but not mandatory.

·        Spend a few minutes each night, leading up to the class, sitting in stillness.  If you have a meditation practice, feel free to incorporate this into your schedule.

·        Clear your schedule the day(s) of your course so you can be fully engaged with the healing energies.

·        Get a good night sleep the night prior to class.
