In-person, Online or Hybrid Experience
If you’re wondering, which is a better experience, in-person, online or hybrid, you’ll see that first answering the question ‘what’s important to me about my Reiki training?’ will drive the importance of whether your preferred training experience is In-person, online or hybrid.
Each approach has its pros and cons, and it is important to consider what aligns best with your personal preferences and the nature of the training.
As an example for myself, it depends on the content and type of training I am doing. For example, anything that has to do with personal growth or healing like yoga, breathwork, Reiki training, etc. I prefer to have an in-person, hands-on experience, in a small, intimate group. For more academic training, any approach works for me.
Only after my initial in-person Reiki Trainings for Level 1, 2, and Master Teacher, did I choose to explore online training just out of curiosity. I then advanced further with more in-person training for my Holy Fire III and Karuna Reiki.
I also find that my connection is deeper and long-lasting with my fellow students with in-person training because of our shared experiences together.
I’ve had students who initially took their Reiki training online elsewhere and then trained in-person with me and express the in-person experience was very different for them.
So, ask yourself again, what’s important to you about your reiki training, what do you want to get out of your training and what is your preferred learning style? These questions will help you answer which is a better experience for you.
